That’s why the ideal placement for the guestroom is the North-West corner. North-West corner is assigned to Air as per elemental distribution in Vaastu Shastra and Moon has been assigned this place as per Vedic astrology.
Generally it so happens that the guests do not overstay in the house when the guest room is in North-West direction of the house because of the effect of fast moving planet Moon.
Guests will stay for long if they are given the room in South, South-West or West directions. They will also start behaving like the owners because of their long stay in the house and will start interfering in the daily activities of the house thereby disturbing the family discipline.
Guest room in the South-East direction will make the guests irritable and quarrelsome because of the influence of Fire element in that corner.
North-West room can also be used for the daughter having attained the age of marriage. This arrangement of stay for the daughter will be miraculously helpful in getting the marriage settled within short time.
North-West room is not good for the student as the influence of Air element in this corner will make the child naughty and will experience acute lack of concentration in studies.
