Why Vaastu Shastra ?

A Castle
Our Vaastu (Home) is like a castle which not only protects us from thefts and robberies but also protects us from ill reputes, litigations, diseases and sorrow etc. What we need in a house is the safety and security for the family members. Any house is designed and constructed by a builder while keeping this primary purpose in mind only. For the purposes of achieving this objective, our houses are designed and constructed in such a way that no mischievous person enters into the house. Boundary walls are the primary protective shields in this regard.  Strong and thick walls around the campus, walls in the house, doors and windows protect the house from any such unwanted entries.

But Vaastu Shastra broadens the meaning and scope of safety and security of the house and it defines extended purpose of providing security to the occupants from intangible enemies of negative emotions like fear, sorrows, defamation, enmity, litigations and so on.

In order to achieve this, Vaastu Shastra prescribes certain guidelines for maintaining smooth flow of energy within the campus which facilitates the well being of occupants. Vaastu Purush, a mythological entity described in Vaastu Shastra personifies the house and each requirement of Vaastu Purush is taken as the requirement of the house. In this context it is important to mention that a disease is caused when the aura of the body gets depleted. It allows negative energy to affect the body thereby causing diseases. Likewise when the aura of the house gets depleted, it is reflected in the presence of cracks and corrosions in the walls and all other symptoms associated with the Geopathic stress. This results in the onset of several kinds of problems in the house such as irritability, quarrels, insomnia and consequent loss of immunity. Position of all nine planets in different directions and corners of the house and places assigned to certain deities on specific portion of walls as per ancient Vaastu Shastra have certain effects. Any defect appeared due to wear and tear or created by us gets reflected in corresponding defects. The effect of these defects range from litigations, untimely deaths, failures, enmities, defamation, addictions and so on. Therefore it is not wrong to say that our Vaastu (home) is like a castle which not only protects us from thefts and robberies but also protects us from ill reputes, litigations, sorrow, diseases and sorrow etc.

Give & Take Relationship
Home (Vaastu) is like a concave mirror in real life. We get the magnified images of the objects which we place before it.  Concave mirror because of its optical properties is capable of making larger images of things which we put before it. Likewise our Vaastu (home), a cosmic bridge between the microcosm and the Macrocosm is capable of bringing larger effects arising out of a small initiative. A small needle pricking in an inflated balloon can instantaneously deflate it and a small size bomb if wrongly handled can cause large scale destruction.  Similarly any small change in the house in the right or wrong direction can bring changes of larger proportion because of its cosmic connections.  It is actually a key to major changes in our surroundings and subsequent effects of changed surrounding on us. We make changes in the vibrations of the house by way of using colors, lights, herbs and plants and reap the benefits arising there from. These Vaastu catalysts serve as connecting the vibrations present in the Universe with the vibrations of our Vaastu thereby significantly impacting our experiences in the house.

It is amply clear on the basis of empirical evidences that Karmic laws with respect to Vaastu are by no means mere hypotheses. We are bound to face the consequences if we do not abide by the basic Vaastu norms and disrupt the cosmic rhythm by creating directional defects. The directional defects in turn create arrhythmic patterns in the cosmic alignment of various energies affecting the dwellings. These energies come from the celestial objects of the cosmos, geomagnetism, energy released as a result of Earth’s rotation and revolution and so on.  So any minute change in one part of the house can make a significant change in the complex energy matrix of the Universe.

An Umbrella

A good Vaastu is like an umbrella which protects us in case of rough planetary weathers, whereas a bad Vaastu has the leg pulling effects during beneficial planetary phase. We find that there is strong and inseparable cosmic bonding between the cosmos and the macrocosm e.g. our house (Vaastu). So any micro level change which takes place in the house by our Karmic interventions have corresponding effects on the well being of the individuals living in the house. It also acts as a cosmic umbrella when the planetary phase is not in our favour. Similarly a bad Vaastu design adversely affects our abilities to accept divine blessings.

While one branch of Indian Darshanshastra i.e.  Vaastu shastra is the source for all our knowledge and understandings about the procedures for everyday life and deals with planning, designing and construction of houses, villages and cities, another branch i.e. Astrology is the study of the movements and relational effects of various planets on human affairs and terrestrial events. The foundation of Astrology is the notion of bonding or connection between the microcosm and macrocosm. These two branches are so much inextricably linked to each other that any minute change in the dwellings can significantly impact the life events of the individuals living there. We can also insulate ourselves considerably from the hardships caused by the adverse planetary phase once we diagnose the defects and remove them accordingly.

Reconfigures Destiny

One can significantly reconfigure his destiny with the Karmic interventions in his house by way of applying effective remedial measures for the defects. Everyone is living in this world to reap the fruits of past deeds while simultaneously preparing him for the next journey in life. The destiny, also known as the mature or ripe Karma is surfaced once the sweetness of benevolent deeds of our past gets exhausted and what remain with us are the consequences of our malefic deeds only. These get reflected in the sufferings and miseries faced by us in the house where we live. We can actually accumulate our present good Karma for a better life ahead while living in the same house as well. Strange are the ways of facing the reflections of our own actions.

At times we strangely feel that we encounter these consequences in the paths we had taken to avoid them. The effects of our acts can go even beyond our present lives, if we believe in cycle of rebirths, otherwise even our actions taken in this life can also contribute significantly to the fruits we are enjoying.  Actually the defects created by us in our home are nothing but the unintended reflections of our own acts in the form of cosmic judgments. These reflections may range from joyful life to a life full of setbacks and worries. We can therefore undo such acts considerably once we are aware of their origins causing those effects and thereby mitigating or minimizing the effects and ushering in the blessed and joyful life. Therefore we can minimize or mitigate the evil effects significantly by way of applying simple yet effective remedial measures of structural modifications, uses of herbs and plants, colors, mirrors and pyramids etc.

Source of Divine Blessings
Permanent light in North-East corner inside and outside the house keeps the house always energized with divine blessings.

Cosmic Connections
The strengths and defects of directions or corners in the house is clearly reflected in the natal chart of an individual as exaltation or debilitation of respective planets which will have considerable effect on him.
