Apartment & Flats

In this fast pace of urbanization, everyone is striving hard to have at least one flat in the urban area in densely populated locations .The race for acquiring one such flat has become a blind race where they are even willing to ignore the essential norms of Vaastu Shastra. But the effects of such ignorant choice of accommodations can be significantly minimized if one takes a careful thought before selecting a flat.

Let us start with the basic parameters of an apartment which should be taken care of:

  • The apartment should be constructed on the solid soil and not on the side of riverbeds as these will have serious life threatening implications in times of flood like situations,
  • The apartment should be constructed on the square or rectangular plot,
  • It should also not have the slopes in either West or South direction,
  • An apartment having extended South-West, South or West should be avoided for habitations,
  • The apartment should have more open space in North and East directions,
  • Water source such as deep boring or swimming pool or pond in North-East and generator, electric connections or solar panels in South-East is the most preferred placements in the apartment,
  • In case of cluster of apartments, inverted L shaped alignments of apartments making it Kaak mukhi will bring all cheers to the occupants,
  • Before taking flat in any apartment, due care should be taken to ensure litigation free plot, which may result due to extended South-East or road hitting from East of South-East.
  • Any water body in South or West direction of the apartment will lead to corresponding health issues of the occupants,
  • The apartment should not be trapped in the curve like structure of road as this will be prone to litigations and even the possession of the flat will not be easy,
  • Apartment should not face or should not be near flyovers, railway lines or under the high tension electric wires crossing overhead. These all will lead to severe Geopathic stress zones thereby diminishing the immunity of the persons living in that apartment leading to severe health hazards.

While selecting a flat in an apartment, higher floors should be chosen in North, North-East and East directions but the lowest floors should be chosen in South, South-West and West directions. This is because of the effect of Chandra Naadi in the previous region and the prevalence of Surya Naadi in the later region. This is also logical from the point of view of Vaastu norms because North-East direction should not have heavy mass above it whereas the South-West region is suitable for heavy mass. Lower floor level in the South-West side will further restrict the harmful sunrays coming from that direction and positive energy coming from North-East direction will be in abundance in the upper floors.
