Reception Counter:
Reception counter of the hotel or the restaurant should always be located on the ground floor of the premises or on the lowest floor which is in the possession of the hotelier. Face of the person receiving the guests should be either in East or North depending upon the availability of space for it. Behind the reception counter the pictures of founder owners should be put with garlands. Key holders for keeping keys of the rooms should be placed in the North-West portion of the counter so that fast circulation of guests can be possible. This is profitable in so far as the frequency of occupancies is high in cases of hotel businessCash box should be located in such a way that it opens in the North or East direction.
Generators and kitchen:
Generator and kitchen in a hotel are very essential components. Therefore being the symbol of heat they should be placed in the South-East corner of the hotels and restaurants. Placing it in the South-East corner will alleviate several issues related to governmental sides like litigations, tax matters and thereby will enhance the prestige and reputation of the owner by way of rewards from the government.
Stairs and Lift:
Lift and stairs are essential structures for any hotel because of its being multistoried. All the Vaastu prescriptions for stairs should also be followed as in the case of stairs in a house. Likewise the stairs and the lift in a hotel should be situated in the South-West corner of the Hotel. It can be located in South or West directions as well.
Dining Space:
Restaurant is a place where people come for taking meals. For the purpose of making it profitable, the occupancy time of the dining tables should be shorter so that customers come and after taking their meals leave the tables for the next customer. This is possible if the location of the dining space in the restaurant is in North-West. Because of the effect of Air element in this corner the customers’ rotation will be faster. Therefore the dining tables placed in North-West portion of the hotel will experience faster rotation of customers resulting in less shelf life periods for the eatables resulting in more profits.
Room Layout:
What are the essential objects in the room of a hotel? Door, toilet, bed, water source, television, curtains, cupboard, mirror, shoe rack etc.
- Door should be in the North-East corner as far as possible and it should not have creaking sound,
- Television should be fixed on the South-East corner of the room,
- Toilet should be located in the South-West corner,
- Mirror on the wall should be fixed on either East or North wall but it should never be on the South or West wall,
- Water mug and glasses should have a place in the East or North side of the bed,
- Bed should be so placed that the head of the visitor should either be in East, West or South direction and it should be placed touching either Western or Southern wall, North or East of the room should be free from any heavy object,
- Paintings or posters of trees or mountains depicting height should be put behind the head above the bed for a sound sleep and happy morning,
- Curtains in the room should be aesthetically beautiful but it should be dark colored in case of the Western or Southern windows but in light colors if the windows are in East or North directions,
- Shoe rack should be in the South West corner under the cupboard so as not to remain in open,
- Color in the walls of the room should be pleasant and light.
However if the business is not earning expected profits, there has to have certain defects in the layout of the overall set up which can be rectified or removed with some simple structural adjustments and with the use of some energizing objects such as aquariums, wind chimes, crystal balls, mirrors, colors, suitable pictures and posters etc.
Director’s Chamber
Director, Chief Executive Officer or the manager in an organization signifies authority and he should command respect from his fellow colleagues and subordinates. For this to achieve, his room should be arranged in such a manner that anyone coming to meet him should be impressed with his strong aura and appreciate his visionary acts. Therefore director’s chamber should be located in extreme South-West corner of the office as it represents stability because of ruler ship of Earth element. Presence of planet Rahu in this corner reflects in his commanding behavior with some element of carrot and stick gestures. If possible his chamber or chair should be situated slightly above the overall ground level of the office giving him an elevated stature in his office. However, some precautions should be taken while laying out the chamber for a better control over the ground and field staffs. These should be either in arrangements of articles in his chamber or sitting in the favorable direction.
Essential articles which are needed in the chamber are chair, table, clock, mirror, door, paintings and posters, windows and curtains, decorative articles, wall mounted puja space, color of the chamber etc.
- The face of director should either be in East or North while sitting,
- There should not be any window behind his chair as this makes way for backstabbing,
- The door should be preferably in North of North-East or East of North-East in order to make it free from any heavier objects,
- Clock and mirror should either be placed in the North or East wall and the clock should not have weak battery or there should not be any stopped clock on the wall. It brings problems associated with subordinates and colleagues,
- A big size poster or painting of mountains and big trees depicting height should be placed on the wall behind the chair of director as this will signify a rock solid support from the back,
- The color of curtains should be light if the window is in North or East but it should be dark colored if the window happens to be in South or West direction,
- An aquarium or a wall mounted electrical water fountain should be placed in the North-East corner preferably either in North or East side of the chamber. Fountain or aquarium attracts positive energy thereby increasing the energy quotient of the chamber,
- Entry point of the chamber should always be lighted and no dark spot or area should be there near the door,
- Use of Swastika and Om can also be beneficial for increasing the positive energy level of the chamber,
- Colorful wall painting can be put on the Northern or Eastern wall but not any picture of deceased person or predecessor, the best place for them is the South-Western wall of the chamber facing north,
- Use of crystal ball and globe on the table can also be helpful in achieving the targets.
- Artificial rock garden in the South-West direction of office will enhance prestige of the office head.
