Windows in ancient Vaastu Shastra have been seen as eyes of the house. They are also entry points of the beneficial rays of Sun. - Windows should be in even numbers in each room.
- Glasses in the windows in the East or North directions should be fixed in such a way that one can see outside without any effort. This means that they should be transparent and not opaque or translucent.

- The window glasses in South or West directions should be dark colored so as to restrict the harmful light and energy coming inside.
- Boundary walls of South or West directions should be high enough to cover more than half of the height of windows in order to avoid the harmful effects of those directions. This is also relevant for the simple reason that no one can peep through the windows.
